I moved to the area in the 1990s and have worked at Christ’s Hospital School for over 20 years. I am now a House Parent to 43 girls aged 11-17, so life is not dull! My children attended school in Southwater before going to CH and then on to university. My wife is a senior physiotherapist at the Princess Royal and Royal Sussex Hospitals. We understand local needs because we live here too. We use the same roads, shops, and local facilities. Local politics is about local issues not national ones, and I can only influence what is within my power to do so.
I was appointed a member of Southwater Parish Council and served for a few years before I stepped down when appointed the Vice Chair of HDC and the Scrutiny Panel. I am committed to doing all I can to support you and represent Southwater and Shipley in wider conversations about planning and other key roles from leisure provision to the future of waste collection.
