Keeping Calm and Carrying On! The 75th anniversary of VE Day

This Friday marks the 75th anniversary of VE Day and West Sussex County Council is asking residents across the county to join in on this very special occasion.

Whilst gatherings and events will obviously not be possible, there are still many ways of getting involved.

Supporting Local Government in Responding to Covid-19

On Saturday the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Robert Jenrick, announced a further £1.6 billion in funding to support local authorities delivering essential frontline services during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Dental Care and Coronavirus

The Government took the decision to suspend all routine face-to-face dental care appointments to allow more people to stay at home and away from others. However, urgent dental care for the minority of cases that require it will be available.

A Message From Our MP

On Sunday night the Queen addressed the nation. I hope her message of calm at a time of real fear and concern will have brought encouragement, reassurance and comfort to many during this difficult time of isolation.

Blood Donations and Covid-19

We have been contacted by NHS Blood and Transplant. They need people who are fit and healthy to keep donating as normal. They have received a lot of calls asking if sessions are still going ahead.
