Five-year Investment Plan to go Before Full County Council

Additional funding for older and younger residents, funding for improvements to the Fire and Rescue Service, road schemes, and projects to generate income in future years, are just some of the proposals being presented to a West Sussex County Council budget meeting next week.

Improved Recycling Puts Horsham District in the Top 20

Statistics recently released by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) identify Conservative-controlled Horsham District Council as one of the top 20 performing Councils in the UK for improved kerbside recycling rates.

Change to Cabinet Meeting re Highwood/Drill Hall Proposal

A Horsham District Council spokesperson said:

"It has been agreed that the proposal regarding Highwood Community Centre and the Drill Hall will now be discussed at a Cabinet meeting on 30 January not on 23 January as originally planned.

Council Approves More New Affordable Homes for Horsham District

Plans for 48 new affordable homes in the centre of Horsham have been given the green light by Horsham District Council.

The site for the proposed homes, at Page Court in Livingston Road just off New Street in the town, is currently owned by housing association Saxon Weald.
